Directing Change Film Contest

The Directing Change Film Contest is an evaluated youth engagement program that engages young people to learn about suicide prevention, mental health, and other critical health and social justice topics by creating short films and art projects that are used to support awareness, education, and advocacy efforts across the state, in their communities, and on their campuses. This free and evaluated program has been implemented in California schools and communities for 11 years. By participating, students have a chance to win cash prizes and participate in an award ceremony. The non-profit organization provides trainings and resources for education partners, community-based organizations, and parents, as well as support after a suicide loss.
